70th Session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific

04 to 08 August 2014 | By invitation only

Regional Connectivity for Shared Prosperity

Phase II of the 70th session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific was held from 4 to 8 August 2014 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok.

Theme Study: Regional Connectivity for Shared Prosperity

The Asia and the Pacific region has grown rapidly, with the intensification of its networks of trade, production and people. However, these networks are denser and more productive in some parts of the region than in others. Over the coming decades, countries across Asia and the Pacific will be looking for ways to expand connectivity and to ensure that the region’s growing prosperity is more widely shared.

For the 70th Commission Session the theme study was released a combined publication with the Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific 2014. The theme study begins on page 125.
