Electronic Resources

The United Nations ESCAP Library subscribes to a wide range of digital resources. Electronic access to e-journals and newspapers, analysis and data is available in a variety of subject areas, including economics, finance, politics, social studies and science. These electronic resources are remotely accessible to ESCAP staff via OpenAthens, via the ESCAP network, or by ID/Password, as indicated. Open Access resources are available directly to both ESCAP staff and the public.

Copyright Warning
Please note that all resources should be used solely for official purposes. It is strictly forbidden to store or redistribute the contents beyond personal use. It is also strictly prohibited to copy or download an entire issue or issues of a journal from these resources. Any breach of these terms will result in the immediate termination of all access by the provider. We therefore kindly ask that UN colleagues be responsible users of copyrighted material.

ESCAP iSearch

The Library provides access to over 500,000 online titles, including newspapers, journals and eBooks. ESCAP iSearch allows users to search both print and electronic collections, search at the article or chapter level for electronic resources, and expand searches to include resources at four UN Secretariat Libraries.

To search online journals by title, please visit the ESCAP iSearch E-journal tool. For a limited time, ESCAP staff may still search for journals and e-books using the Full-Text Finder site. This site will be decommissioned in early 2023. (Access via the ESCAP network or OpenAthens.)

Research Databases (A-Z list)

The Library provides access to a variety of statistical and other research databases. To browse our complete list of databases and platforms, please visit our Research Databases page.
